FORMER bodyguard Azrul Azwan Anuar has switched from being stern and alert to selling pancakes with cute cartoons, reported Berita Harian.
The bulky 39-year-old, who worked as a personal bodyguard to a prominent figure for five years, now draws colourful cartoons on pancakes like Hello Kitty, Spiderman, Minions and Pikachu.
“I feel rewarded when seeing children happy and excited to buy the pancakes I make.
“Some come to buy them every day. I feel appreciated and I can fulfil all their requests,” he said.
Azrul Azwan, who started his business six months ago, said he felt more at ease working for himself and on his own schedule.
“These cartoon pancakes are like regular pancakes but they are made using coloured batter.”
He sells about 20 to 30 pancakes per day on average for RM10 each.
> The Malay daily also reported the husband of social media influencer Marissa Dania as confirming that they had lost their first child due to a miscarriage.
The confirmation came following claims that Marissa was recently rushed to the hospital while attending a product launch event.
The 19-year-old, who was six months pregnant, had earlier complained of stomach ache.
Her husband, Ahmad Aslam, said in an Instagram post that he had also informed Marissa’s father, popular actor Norman Hakim, about the incident.
“Regarding the news of the death or misfortune that has befallen my family, it is true.
“I ask everyone to pray for the best for us and not to make any speculation or pass judgement carelessly,” said Ahmad, who goes by the name Aslam.
Marissa is Aslam’s second wife, whom he married in Songkhla, Thailand, in December.
The marriage took place without the knowledge of his first wife, Umisya Mazlan.
