Honorary titles for 399 on Melaka governor’s birthday

MELAKA: Public Works director-general Datuk Roslan Ismail headed the list of 399 recipients of honorary titles bestowed to senior government officials, corporate figures, political leaders and media practitioners during the third session of the investiture ceremony held in conjunction with the 75th birthday of the Yang di-Pertua Negeri Tun Dr Mohd Ali Rustam yesterday.

Roslan was awarded the Darjah Cemerlang Seri Melaka (DCSM), which carries the title Datuk Wira, along with 11 others.

The other recipients of DCSM were Selangor Agriculture Development Corporation group chief executive officer Dr Mohamad Khairil Mohamad Razi and chairman of Penang Regional Development Authority Datuk Dr Shaik Hussien Mydin.

Selangor executive councillor Datuk Borhan Aman Shah was awarded the Darjah Mulia Seri Melaka, which carries the title Datuk, during the ceremony, which was also attended by Melaka Chief Minister Datuk Seri Ab Rauf Yusoh.

Press secretary to the Energy Transition and Public Utilities Minister Datuk Misiah Taib and Wanita MCA national chief Datuk Wong You Fong were among 58 recipients of Darjah Pangkuan Seri Melaka, which carries the title Datuk. Wong is also a non-independent and non-executive director of Star Media Group Bhd.

Melaka Tengah OCPD Asst Comm Christopher Patit was among 24 recipients of the Darjah Seri Melaka.A total of 651 recipients were conferred various awards throughout the three sessions of the investiture ceremony that started on Sunday.
