Deadly house fire in Kuala Kangsar


IPOH: A man was found dead after a fire destroyed his house on Jalan Kampung Baru Liman Kati, Kuala Kangsar.

A Perak and Fire Rescue Department spokesman said the 36-year-old victim was found in the kitchen of the house during the incident on Thursday (Aug 29) at about 1.30am.

"The victim's death was confirmed by Health Ministry personnel.

"The body was handed over to the police," the spokesman said in a statement.

"Operation ended at 2.15am," he added.
