Firemen free trapped lorry driver after Batu Gajah crash

IPOH: The driver of a three-tonne lorry carrying gas cylinders was trapped in his seat after his vehicle collided with a trailer in Batu Gajah.

Perak Fire and Rescue Department assistant director (operations) Sabarodzi Nor Ahmad said the accident occurred in front of the Jalan Desa Tronoh Indah Shell station at 11.19am on Friday (Aug 30).

"Rescue tools were used to free the trapped victim.

"The injured driver was then handed over to Health Ministry officials for treatment," he said in a statement.

He added that the trailer driver did not sustain any injuries.
