Police arrested security guard for sexually assaulting own daughters in Melaka

MELAKA: Melaka police have detained a 39-year-old security guard who is suspected to have sexually assaulted his two teenage daughters.

State deputy police chief Senior Asst Comm Datuk Md Nazri Zawawi said the eldest daughter, 17, who works as a clerk, lodged a police report on Thursday(Aug 29) at Alor Gajah police station regarding the alleged sexual assaults by her biological father since 2018.

"The elder sister also claimed that she was continuously raped by her father at their home in Durian Tunggal in Alor Gajah since she was 14.

"The victim was too scared to share her ordeal with anyone until her younger sister, who is now 13, was also allegedly sexually assaulted by the father since this July," he said on Friday(Aug 30).

SAC Md Nazri said the younger sister told one of her classmates about what had transpired at home when the latter shared it with the class teacher.

He said the school's Senior Assistant then called the elder sister and her mother on Thursday morning (Aug 29).

"At this point, the elder sister divulged that she was also allegedly the victim of the sexual assault and rape by her father when the school advised her to lodge a police report," he said.

On Friday(Aug 30), the suspect was brought to the Alor Gajah Magistrate's Court to be remanded for seven days to assist in the investigation under Section 376(3) of the Penal Code.
