BSI Immigration receive National Day cake from Singapore counterparts

JOHOR BARU: As Malaysia celebrates its 67th National Day, the Sultan Iskandar Building (BSI) immigration official received a thoughtful gesture from their Singaporean counterparts which further solidifies the close relationship between the two border authorities.

The Singapore Woodlands Immigration and Checkpoints Authority (ICA) led by their commander Jackson Tan sent a beautifully-crafted cake to the BSI as part of the annual tradition to commemorate Malaysia’s National Day.

This exchange is emblematic of the strong ties that have been nurtured over the years between the immigration authorities on both sides of the causeway.

The cake was received by BSI Customs, Immigration and Quarantine Complex deputy head of immigration Vimala Ramalinggam.

It is learnt that both border checkpoint authorities have a history of engaging in friendly games and other activities during their respective national celebrations, further enhancing their working relationship and mutual respect.
