Lorry driver's body recovered from sea at Westport


KLANG: The body of the lorry driver has been recovered after his lorry fell into the sea at Westport earlier on Sunday (Sept 1).

Selangor Fire and Rescue Department director Wan Md Razali Wan Ismail, when contacted, said that the body of 24-year-old Mohd Hafiz Abdul Salan was found and brought to shore at around 5pm.

“The body has been handed over to police for further action,” he said.

He added that witnesses saw the lorry suddenly speeding to it a divider before falling into the sea after it was parked.

Earlier in the day, fire department divers were deployed to search and recover the body.
