“We immediately deployed eight firemen together with one Fire Rescue Tender (FRT) vehicle and one Emergency Medical Rescue Service (EMRS) to the scene.

“When the rescue team arrived at the scene some eight minutes later, there was a road accident that occurred along the traffic light junction with car in the drain,” he said here on Monday.

Noor Azhan added that firemen went down to the drain where they found that the driver was not trapped inside the car.

“The driver was traumatised when we found him and immediately provided him with early medical treatment before using the EMRS to send him to a nearby hospital for further medical action,” he said adding that the operation ended at around 1.55am.
