ACTRESS and singer Siti Nordiana (pic), better known as Nana, never expected that controversy would turn her into a sensation, leading to a nomination in the “Sensational Artiste” category at the 36th Anugerah Bintang Popular Berita Harian, BH Online reported.
“This is my first time being nominated in the category. It’s up to the public to decide if I truly deserve the title of ‘sensational artiste’.
“I hope this nomination brings more positivity because I believe there’s a silver lining to everything that happens,” said Nana, 39.
She also expressed gratitude for being in the running for three other categories, saying: “The rest is up to my fan club to vote.”
Nana was also nominated for “Most Popular Female Singer,” “Most Popular Collaboration/Duo/Group Artiste” alongside Saujana and “Most Popular Song” for her track Arah Cinta.
Previously, she made headlines following a controversy involving her close friends, fellow singers Lan Solo and Syura Badron, which escalated in July 2021.
The dispute eventually led to legal proceedings but was amicably resolved by the end of last year.
Nana agreed to settle a defamation suit worth RM2.5mil filed against five of her friends.
Reflecting on the experience, Nana described it as a valuable lesson and saw her nomination in the Sensational Artiste category as a bonus.
> Over the years, Zul Ariffin has proven his talent through various accolades, including Best Actor at the 31st Malaysian Film Festival.
At almost 38 years old, the tall and charismatic actor continues to be a top choice for leading roles, with his latest, Sheriff: Narko Integriti, becoming a box office hit, grossing RM64mil.

Zul shared these sentiments during a recent “doa selamat” ceremony for the film’s success in Kuala Lumpur.Reflecting on his acting opportunities at this stage of his career, Zul said the success of Sheriff has opened more doors for him.
