ACTRESS Zarina Anjoulie found herself in a social media storm after posting a video of her nose surgery.
The clip, which went viral, drew a wave of harsh criticism, Harian Metro reported.
People began comparing her new nose, with many saying that the previous shape was more attractive.
This unexpected backlash took Zarina by surprise.
“Everyone is saying my old nose was prettier,” Zarina, 37, posted on Instagram.
“Before this, people said my nose was crooked and swollen. Now, suddenly, they’re claiming it was better than the current shape. That’s fine, I’ve already done it,” she said.
Zarina had previously explained in a TikTok video that the surgery was necessary to remove a bump from the bridge of her nose.
> Mohamad Nor Helmy Samsudin is continuing his father’s legacy by offering affordable soto at just RM5, Sinar Harian reported.
His late father, Samsudin Ridzwan, used to sell soto – a traditional soup dish – at night markets in Kuala Selangor in 1977. Due to high demand, he opened a small stall in front of their home in Pasir Penambang in 2004.
The business has since flourished, relocating three years later to its current spot along the Kuala Selangor-Klang federal road.
Warong Soto Pasir Penambang has been a popular stop for travellers for the past 17 years.
“My teenage years were different from my friends as I spent a lot of time helping my late father,” said Mohamad Nor Helmy, 42.
He now runs the stall with his sister, Nor Zakiah Samsudin, 55.
“Thank God, through hard work, we’ve opened additional branches in Seksyen 6, Shah Alam and Setia Alam,” he said.
He said one of the main challenges is not competition but the rising cost of ingredients.
“We try to keep prices low – if we raise prices, customers may not come,” he added.
The stall, which also features other dishes such as fried rice and ayam penyet, has attracted tourists, even all the way from Japan.
