Selangor, Kedah MBs to 'face off' on football field today


SHAH ALAM: The Selangor and Kedah Mentris Besarare set to face off in a friendly football match scheduled to take place from 5pm to 7pm on Tuesday (Sept 3), Malay language daily Sinar Harian reports.

The clash between the team of Selangor Mentri Besar Datuk Seri Amirudin Shari and Kedah Mentri Besar Datuk Seri Muhammad Sanusi Md Nor's selection will be held at the Selangor FC Training Centre here.

It is understood that this is the first-ever encounter for both prominent figures, aimed at fostering camaraderie, Sinar Harian reported.

Comments on the Darul Aman Information Secretariat (UPDA) Facebook page indicate that football enthusiasts are excited to see the two state leaders compete and showcase their skills on the field.

"Greetings of friendship to Selangor and Kedah," commented user Khairul Azman succinctly.

"A mature and prosperous political culture must be practised, not just rhetoric. This culture will be an example for future generations," said Mohd Amirrudin Ismail.
