The body of 25-year-old Brono Kamil Nahak was discovered by rescuers at around 10.45am on Thursday (Sept 5), some 1km from where he was reported missing.

Brono had gone to the river at the Tong Hup estate at around 12.30pm on Wednesday (Sept 4) to collect his catch from the nets he placed there.

However, he did not return home, prompting his friends to search for him.

They only found his T-shirt, cap, shoes, motorcycles and a ripped net in the area.

Concerned estate workers alerted firemen for help as they were afraid that the victim had been attacked by a crocodile.
