STUDENTS from 13 Tamil schools got the chance to show off their dance moves for local film producers and directors in a competition, Malaysia Nanban reported.

The second edition of ‘Pertandingan Tarian Tradisional India 2024’ was held at the Sri Maha Mariamman Temple hall in Taman Keladi, Sungai Petani, Kedah.

The competition was organised by producer Dr Latcha Perrabhu Rajagopal and his two sons in collaboration with executive producer Vicknes Prabu and director Thanesh Prabu.

> A group of doctors in India went viral online after gifting a “spine” to the Kolkata city police commissioner, Makkal Osai reported.

The junior doctors from the RG Kar hospital marched to police chief Vineet Goyal’s office and demanded his resignation, insinuating he was spineless.

They accused the police of incompetence in dealing with the rape and murder of a female intern doctor and the subsequent mob attack, which could have compromised the crime scene.
