Infamous ‘Abang Bus’ shows 'love gesture' when being charged in court


PETALING JAYA: The bus driver who was arrested after uploading a video recording of his primary school student passenger as a lover or 'crush' even managed to pull off a 'mini love' gesture at the Sessions Court here on Thursday.

The 24-year-old accused, (Mohamad Norhadhim Sari), clad in a black shirt, arrived in court at 9.30am for the charge of uploading indecent comments on a video of a girl.

However, the accused pleaded not guilty after the charges were read against him before Judge Osman Affendi Mohd Salleh.

The accused was charged with using a TikTok account by the name 'Abang Bas' and had knowingly made indecent comments on a video of a nine-year-old child with the caption 'today crush do homework' followed by a 'love' sign while watching her.

The act was allegedly committed in Parit Raja, Johor, at 11pm on Sept 5.

The charge under Section 233(1)(a) and Section 233(3) of the Communications and Multimedia Act 1998 provides for a fine not exceeding RM50,000 or imprisonment not exceeding one year or both and shall also be liable to a further fine of RM1,000 for each day of the offense after conviction.

DPP Nurizzati Rozman prosecuted while the accused was represented by lawyer Umar Zulkarnain.

Last Tuesday, the accused pleaded not guilty in the Muar Sessions Court on two charges of sexual abuse against children.

Previously, a man who is also the owner of the 'Abang Bus' account went viral on TikTok, calling a passenger believed to be a primary school student a 'crush' and 'dear'.

The school bus driver, who has more than 640,000 followers on TikTok, has uploaded numerous videos clearly showing the faces of students who are his passengers.
