Mahkota polls: Expect rain on nomination day

KLUANG: It will rain on Saturday morning (Sept 13), the candidate nomination day for the Mahkota state by-election, says the Malaysian Meteorological Department (METMalaysia).

METMalaysia posted the special weather forecast on its Facebook page on Friday (Sept 13). It also said that the afternoon weather would be fair.

The Mahkota state by-election candidate nomination will take place at Dewan Tunku Ibrahim Ismail here at 9am on Saturday.

The by-election was held following the death of its incumbent Datuk Sharifah Azizah Syed Zain, 63, while being treated at Enche' Besar Hajjah Khalsom Hospital here on August 2.

The Election Commission (EC) set the polling day on Sept 28, while early voting is on Sept 24. – Bernama
