A capsule by aerospace company SpaceX left the earth’s orbit on Sept 11.

Dubbed Polaris Dawn, the five-day mission included the first ever spacewalk by civilians.

The four-man crew had even reached 1,400km above our planet’s surface – the highest orbital altitude achieved since 1972, and three times higher than the International Space Station.
