Cops issue 65 summonses during RXZ 6.0 gathering

PETALING JAYA: The police issued 65 summonses and confiscated 15 motorcycles for committing various offences in a special operation conducted in conjunction with the RXZ Members 6.0 gathering.

Kuala Terengganu OCPD Asst Comm Azli Mohd Noor said the action was taken during an operation carried out from 5pm to 11.59pm on Saturday (Sept 15) around the city centre, reported Sinar Harian.

According to him, the most detected offences are modifying the exhaust, not having side mirrors, and not having a registration number.

"We detected various offences and inspected 35 motorcycles and 25 individuals.

"In addition, we also confiscated 15 motorcycles of various types under Section 64(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987 for illegal modifications such as noisy exhaust," he said on Sunday (Sept 15).

He said no arrests were made during the operation.

ACP Azli also said there were no reports of missing motorcycles or accidents involving RXZ Members in the Kuala Terengganu and Kuala Nerus districts during the gathering.

The RXZ Members 6.0 gathering lasted two days, from Sept 13 to 14, at the Terengganu Motor Circuit, Gong Badak in Kuala Nerus. It attracted more than 40,000 participants nationwide.
