Strengthen love for Prophet Muhammad by practising his Sunnah, says S'gor Ruler in Maulidur Rasul message

SHAH ALAM: The Sultan of Selangor, Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah, has called on all Muslims to strengthen their love for Prophet Muhammad by practising his "Sunnah" (traditions).

Sultan Sharafuddin said Muslims must understand the Prophet's personality and life to truly love him.

"Love for Prophet Muhammad should begin by making him an exemplary model in every aspect of life, recognising the truth he brought, studying his greatness, and exalting the nobility and grandeur of the Prophet as the Messenger of Allah," he said.

"Loving and cherishing Prophet Muhammad is not merely about remembering his birth on 12th Rabi' al-Awwal. It should be ingrained in the soul and felt in every heartbeat," Sultan Sharafuddin said through a post on the Selangor Royal Office Facebook page.

The Sultan of Selangor reminded Muslims of Allah's words in Surah Al-Ahzab, verse 21: "Indeed, in the Messenger of Allah (Muhammad) you have an excellent example for whoever has hope in Allah and the Last Day, and remembers Allah often."

"In Surah Al-Anbia, verse 107, Allah says, 'And We have not sent you, [O Muhammad], except as a mercy to the worlds'," said the Sultan.

Meanwhile, in conjunction with the auspicious occasion, Sultan Sharafuddin and Tengku Permaisuri Selangor, Tengku Permaisuri Norashikin, have extended their Maulidur Rasul 1446H greetings to all Muslims, especially in Selangor. – Bernama
