GISB probe: Cops keeping an eye on all premises under patronage


IPOH: All premises that are under the patronage of Global Ikhwan Services and Business Holdings (GISB) in the state are under observation, says Comm Datuk Azizi Mat Aris.

However, the Perak police chief refused to comment further on the location of the premises.

"We are not able to provide a statement regarding the locations today as it is still on our radar. So, wait and see.

"Their operations are also on the radar," he said after presenting certificates to retirees and future retirees of the state police contigent ceremony on Wednesday (Sept 18).

On Sept 11, the police rescued 402 children, comprising 201 boys and 201 girls aged between one and 17 years old, from care homes in Selangor and Negri Sembilan in a rescue operation codenamed Ops Global.

On Sept 13, police revealed that they were investigating allegations that 13 of the rescued children were sodomised.

A total of 171 suspects, aged between 17 and 64, were arrested, including a teacher and dorm caretakers.
