Biennial FHM to debut Borneo Edition at SICC next week

KOTA KINABALU: The biennial Food and Hospitality Malaysia (FHM) exhibition will hold its first-ever Borneo edition at the Sabah International Convention Centre (SICC) next week.

Running from 26 to 28 September, the three-day event, themed "Cultivating Solutions for the Food and Hospitality Industry," is a milestone for Borneo's growing food and hospitality sector, said organiser Informa Markets Malaysia.

“Borneo’s food and hospitality market, backed by its rich culture, expanding tourism, and focus on sustainability, is ready to take the spotlight,” Informa Markets Malaysia said in promotional material seen by The Star on Thursday (Sept 19).

The event will connect local and international players, enhancing Borneo’s role in the global culinary and hospitality sectors.

FHM Borneo will explore industry challenges and opportunities for growth and collaboration.

Professionals from across the food and hospitality sectors will gather to discover innovative solutions tailored to Borneo’s unique needs.

Informa Markets said FHM Borneo aims to drive innovation by building connections and partnerships for Borneo’s food scene as the region’s tourism and sustainability efforts grow

"The exhibition provides a platform for businesses to engage with new trends and form strategic partnerships.

“Participants are encouraged to join this inaugural edition, showcasing Borneo's diverse flavours, cultures, and opportunities, and paving the way for the region's food and hospitality industry to reach new heights.”
