Selangor Sultan extends condolences to family of prominent hotelier Gary Lee


PETALING JAYA: Selangor Ruler Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah has extended his condolences to the family of prominent hotelier Gary Lee Yong Leng over his demise.

In a post on the Selangor Ruler's official Instagram page, Lee, said His Royal Highness, had dedicated 33 years of his career to Concorde Hotel Kuala Lumpur where he served as a general manager.

"HRH Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah Alhaj, the Sultan of Selangor wishes to extend his condolences to June Ng, on the demise of her beloved husband, Gary Lee Yong Leng, a prominent and experienced hotelier in Kuala Lumpur.

"He dedicated 33 years of his career in Concorde Hotel Kuala Lumpur where he served as a General Manager.

"Gary Lee will be remembered for his kindness and friendship with his fellow colleagues and friends alike. HRH Tuanku will remember Gary Lee for the many events he has carried out professionally for the hotel," he wrote in the post.

The Selangor Ruler also said he was glad that his wife, Tengku Permaisuri Selangor Tengku Permaisuri Norashikin, was able to see Lee the day before his demise at the Sunway Medical Centre."

"We hope that his family would stay strong during this time of difficulties and we would truly miss him," he said.

According to the obituary, Lee, 73, passed away on Sept 18, leaving behind his wife and daughter.
