It started with farts in the car, then things turned violent

A MECHANIC was jailed for seven days after he pleaded guilty at the Ayer Keroh Magistrate’s Court to punching his sister when she scolded him for farting in a vehicle last week, Kosmo! reported.

Magistrate Khairunnisak Hassni meted out the sentence on Ridzuan Samsudin, 37, after he admitted to the charge under Section 323 of the Penal Code.

The accused punched Nurul Hanis Samsudin, 32, on the nose and mouth during the argument at a parking lot in Melaka Tengah district on Sept 11.

It was understood that the incident happened when the accused was joking around by farting in the vehicle, much to the victim’s annoyance and anger.

The victim then brought up past incidents, which riled up the accused and led to him assaulting her.

The victim suffered bleeding and swelling as a result, and subsequently lodged a police report.
