Sze Fei-Izzuddin are China Open champs


PETALING JAYA: Goh Sze Fei-Nur Izzuddin Rumsani have captured the China Open men's doubles title.

The world No. 12 Sze Fei-Izzuddin beat world No. 7 homesters He Jiting-Ren Xiangyu 13-21, 21-12, 21-17 at the Olympic Sports Center Gymnasium in Changzhou on Sunday (Sept 22)..

Xiangyu hurt his lower back at the end of the first game but refused to throw in the towel.

The injury hampered the Chinese pair, especially in the second game, while Sze Fei-Izzuddin remained focused to claim their second title this year after they won the Japan Open last month.

It was the independent pair's biggest title in their careers so far.
