Two men killed in accident with trailer near Sitiawan


IPOH: Two men were killed after the lorry they were in crashed into the back of a trailer at KM202 southbound of the West Coast Expressway near Sitiawan.

Perak Fire and Rescue Department's Operations Division assistant director Sabarodzi Nor Ahmad said the two men have been identified as Razali Sahad, 48 and Muhammad Alizzat Narayi, 28.

Both died on the spot in the incident on Monday (Sept 23) at about 3.30am.

"The trailer is believed to have been parked by the side of the road before the lorry rammed into it. The two victims were found trapped inside their vehicle and were declared dead on the spot by medical personnel," he said in a statement.

"The victims were rescued and handed over to the police for the next course of action," he added, saying that the operation ended at 6.05am.
