Fugitive killer relieved after arrest

A MAN in China’s Sichuan province, who ran away with his brother’s wife after killing his mother and girlfriend, was caught after being on the run for 32 years, China Press reported.

When Li Mou Chai was arrested, he said: “I have finally found relief.”

The murders took place after an argument. He convinced his older brother’s wife, with whom he was in love, to run away with him to Guangdong.Li assumed a new name and earned a living doing odd jobs. He had a son and a daughter with his sister-in-law.Police stopped pursuing the case until a task force discovered a new lead about Li living in Jiangmen city, where he is known as Liu.Following his arrest on Sept 13, he confessed to his crimes, saying: “Hiding had been tiring.”
