Klang furniture warehouse partly damaged in blaze


KLANG: A furniture warehouse in Meru was partially burnt in an early morning fire.

Selangor Fire and Rescue Department assistant director Ahmad Mukhlis Mukhttar said a distress call was received at 4.40am Thursday (Sept 26).

"Firemen from five fire stations were dispatched to the scene and arrived at 4.45am.

"The fire was brought under control by 6.30am," he said in a statement.

The warehouse was 40% damaged and no one was hurt during the incident, he added.
