Sunway Lagoon has unveiled its coolest and most terrifying installment yet, bringing a decade of fear to life with Nights of Fright 10 (NOF 10), the premier Halloween Season event in Malaysia.

Since its inception, Nights of Fright has cemented its legacy as the ultimate horror festival of fear, attracting thrill-seekers and fans of all spooky things.

With nine years of delivering top-notch haunted experiences, this year's milestone event promises to push the boundaries of fun-filled horror, combining nostalgic scares with new, heart-pounding attractions and exciting international collaborations such as with the exclusive Silent Hill attraction.

First launched in 2013, Nights of Fright has become an iconic fixture on Malaysia's entertainment calendar, drawing both locals and tourists alike to Sunway Lagoon. Over the years, guests have experienced many scare zones, haunted houses and eerie live performances that have cemented Nights of Fright as the go-to Halloween Season event. Each edition introduced innovative themes, from classic horror characters to spine-chilling local folklore, setting new standards for immersive terror.

Throughout the years, the event has evolved to become a fully immersive Halloween Season experience, complete with over 250 live scare actors, interactive horror zones and nightmarish haunted houses that haunts guests long after they leave. Previously themed haunted houses like Zombie Apocalypse, Texas Chainsaw Massacre and Ghostbusters have become fan favorite memories, drawing tens of thousands of visitors annually.

"Celebrating 10 years of Nights of Fright is an incredible milestone for all of us at Sunway Lagoon," said Sunway Theme Parks marketing and park experiences assistant general manager Michelle Soong.

"What started as a unique way to bring Halloween Season thrills to Malaysia has evolved into a highly anticipated annual tradition.

“This event has grown beyond our wildest expectations, becoming a must-visit for thrill-seekers, horror fans, local and international guests alike. The continuous support and enthusiasm from our guests have allowed us to push boundaries year after year, creating bigger and scarier experiences."

She continued, "This year, for our 10th anniversary, we are pulling out all the stops to deliver something truly extraordinary. We are not just looking back at the scares that have defined us, but we are also introducing new, heart-pounding attractions that will keep guests trembling throughout the night.

“From the spine-chilling haunted houses to the eerie scare zones and the exciting new partnerships, we are taking the horror experience to the next level. We are drawing inspiration from the East, infusing our horror themes with a captivating twist that will elevate the entire experience to a new chilling heights."

Sudden Impact! Entertainment Company chief executive officer and global creative director Lynton V Harris said, "Nights of Fright has become a multi-award winning flagship event in the region and we are thrilled to continue raising the bar for immersive horror experiences.

“This year’s event is particularly special as we’re not only celebrating a decade of fear but also introducing new elements that have never been seen before. From international IPs like Silent Hill to the local myth of the Karak Highway, we’re combining live action hantu’s with timeless horror themes to deliver a one-of-a-kind experience that’s sure to haunt our guests long after they leave."

Harris added, "Together with Sunway Lagoon, we’ve created a unique, fun and fear filled environment where every turn brings a new scare, and we can’t wait for guests to immerse themselves in what we’ve created. The 10th year of Nights of Fright is a celebration of everything that has made this event a success, while promising new nightmares that will leave everyone with unforgettable memories.”

This year, Nights of Fright 10 takes the horror experience to a global scale by introducing spine chilling intellectual properties (IPs) from around the world, offering guests a terrifyingly immersive journey through Japan, UK, USA and China. These internationally renowned characters and storylines will add a whole new dimension of terror to the event.

Leading the charge is the terrifying “Bone Man” from China, a haunting figure steeped in ancient mythology and folklore. The Bone Man is a chilling reminder of the past, a skeletal entity said to roam in the afterlife, gathering the souls of those who dare to cross his path. His eerie, ghost-like presence will set the tone for an unforgettable horror experience as guests navigate through his realm, facing traps, haunted relics and spine-chilling encounters.

In addition to Bone Man, horror fans can look forward to a disturbing twist on "Alice" in a nightmare-filled wonderland where nothing is as it seems and all in mind-bending UV3D! Wander through dark corridors, twisted landscapes, and a realm where childhood dreams turn into terror-filled nightmares.

Another massive highlight of NOF 10 is the introduction of Silent Hill, a collaboration with the legendary horror franchise from the U.S. known for its psychological horror. Guests will get to enter a world of disturbing creatures and a haunting atmosphere that will leave even the bravest shaking in fear.

These iconic IPs, combined with local elements of terror, make Nights of Fright 10 a truly international horror experience that guests won't find anywhere else in Malaysia.
