Man drowns in Perak while fishing


IPOH: A 55-year-old man drowned while fishing at Lombong Air Kuning, Chenderong Kelubi near Kampong Gajah, Perak.

Perak Fire and Rescue Department assistant director (operations) Sabarodzi Nor Ahmad said that the incident on Thursday (Sept 26) at 3.10pm.

"The victim Ngah Azman Anjang Baharuddin is believed to have drowned while fishing.

"At 12.06pm today, the operation team found the victim’s body during the dive at that location," he said in a statement on Friday (Sept 27).

He said the victim's body was then handed over to the police for further action.
