Siti Saleha goes from ‘SeOfis’ to the global stage


PETALING JAYA: Actress Siti Saleha has won the Outstanding Asian Star at the Seoul International Drama Awards 2024 held in South Korea.

The 34-year-old shared the good news on Instagram, posting a photo of her holding the trophy at the venue, Yeouido KBS Hall.

She also shared a video from the event that took place on Sept 25 and broadcasted live on South Korea’s SBS TV.

“This is ours Malaysia,” Siti Saleha said in the caption.

For the video, her caption read: “Pinch me please. Thank you @seouldramaawards for this truly memorable night.”

In the comments section, fans and fellow Malaysian artistes expressed their excitement and congratulated the 7 Hari Mencintaiku actress on her achievement.

“We are so proud of you! Congrats Sally,” wrote singer Marsha Milan in the comments section.

Siti Saleha is fondly known as Sally in the industry.

Likewise actress Eyka Farhana commented: “Congratulations sis! We are so proud of you #malaysiaboleh.”

Siti Saleha was nominated for her role in the original drama series SeOfis (In One Office), which aired on the digital platform Tonton.

The voting process for the Outstanding Asian Star was determined through a global voting process.

In her acceptance speech Siti Saleha said: “This one’s for Malaysia.

“I’m beyond grateful for this recognition and a huge shoutout to Tonton and TV3 Malaysia for always having my back. Your support made this possible.

“Winning for SeOfis is a dream come true, and bringing home Malaysia’s first win in this category since 2017 is such a proud moment.

“To the cast, crew and everyone who made this happen, this is for you, and to my fans, your love means the world to me,” she said.

SeOfis centres on three ambitious women who work in the same office.
