Mahkota polls: Voter turnout reaches 47.16% as of 4pm, says EC


KLUANG: Voter turnout for the Mahkota by-election has reached 47.16% as of 3pm, according to the Election Commission (EC).

A total of 61,397 voters are eligible to cast their ballots in the Mahkota state by-election on Saturday (Sept 28)

Some 109 polling stations have been made available at 20 centres.

The by-election is a straight fight between Syed Hussien Syed Abdullah, 40, of Barisan Nasional (BN) and Mohamad Haizan Jaafar, 61, of Perikatan Nasional (PN).
