Road closures and traffic detours for Petronas Le Tour De Langkawi in Ipoh


IPOH: Several stretches of roads in Ipoh will be closed and traffic redirected for the Petronas Le Tour De Langkawi racing championship.

Ipoh OCPD Asst Comm Abang Zainal Abidin Abang Ahmad stated that the affected roads will include the stretch from the traffic light intersection near Infoternak in Sungai Siput to the Perak-Pahang border on Jalan Keramat Pulai, between 12pm and 2pm on October 1.

“The affected roads are Jalan Kuala Kangsar up to the Tasek traffic light, Jalan Sultan Azlan Shah up to the Medan Gopeng traffic intersection, Jalan Sultan Nazrin Shah up to the traffic light near the Simpang Pulai police station and Jalan Keramat Pulai,” he said in a statement on Saturday (Sept 28).

ACP Abang Zainal Abidin advised road users to plan their journey and use alternative routes to avoid traffic congestion.

“During the event, motorists can use Jalan Lahat-Simpang Pulai, Jalan Sultan Nazrin Shah, Jalan Kuala Kangsar and the North-South Expressway,” he added.
