10-year requirement for bike licence upgrade need not be continuous, says Transport Minister

PETALING JAYA: Those who have held a valid motorcycle licence for at least 10 years, whether continuously or not, can apply to join the Special Transition Programme for the Motorcyclists' Licence (LMM) Class B2/B1 to LMM Class B, says Anthony Loke.

The Transport Minister stated that the licence did not need to be active for 10 consecutive years, noting that some may have lapsed in their renewals during the movement control orders at the height of the Covid-19 pandemic.
