KK cops investigating viral video of a nude woman allegedly taken at a popular bank signboard

KOTA KINABALU: A bank signboard that had gone viral for its aesthetic quality here has again made the rounds in social media but not for the right reasons.

This was after a 10-second video clip of a woman allegedly posing nude in front of the glamorised signboard at Jalan Gaya here surfaced online on Tuesday (Oct 1).

OCPD Asst Comm Kasim Muda said they have yet to receive a report but assured that police were looking into the matter.

“Yes, we will investigate,” he said when contacted on Wednesday (Oct 2).

The signboard became popular among Chinese tourists in August and went viral after photos of them posing in front of it on China-based social media platform Xiaohongshu, also known as the “Chinese Instagram”.

Since then, the signboard has taken a life of its own, with Malaysians, including prominent figures, taking time to have their photos taken there.

Those interviewed said the signboard was attractive for photo opportunities because of its bright yellow colour and location at an intersection.
