Selangor Ruler grants audience to S'wak Anglican Bishop

PETALING JAYA: Selangor Ruler, Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah, consented to receive an audience from Anglican Bishop of Kuching and Borneo Revd Datuk Danald Jute.

A post on the Selangor Royal Office official Facebook page on Wednesday (Oct 2) said the audience took place at Istana Bukit Kayangan in Shah Alam.

"During the visit, His Royal Highness and Danald exchanged views on current issues," the post said.

The Selangor Royal Office also said that Sultan Sharafuddin had previously visited Danald's residence during His Royal Highness' visit to Sarawak in November 2023.

Danald was ordained Bishop of the Anglican Church of Kuching and Brunei on Aug 13, 2017. He has been widely involved in inter-religious discussions and dialogues abroad, including at Egypt's Al-Azhar University.

Danald is also the chairman of the Anglican Interfaith Commission globally.
