IPOH: A fallen tree blocked both directions of the main road on the Ipoh-Lumut highway near Ayer Tawar, Perak.

Perak Fire and Rescue Department assistant director (operations) Sabarodzi Nor Ahmad said that incident that occured on Thursday (Oct 3) had caused traffic jams.

"No one was hurt in the 4.29pm incident.

"Fire and rescue personal cut the branches and trunk using chainsaws and machetes and moved it to a safe area," he said in a statement on Thursday.
