Fun activities for the family at Johor book bazaar

JOHOR BARU: Book lovers can head to the Johor Book Bazaar here for a wide selection of books for various interests.

Johor Public Library Corporation (PPAJ) assistant librarian Linda Sulaiman said the book fair, held at Aeon Mall Tebrau City, kicks off on Thursday (Oct 3) and will run until Oct 6 (Sunday).

“There are 54 exhibitors participating in the bazaar, offering attractive prices on a wide selection of books for readers of all ages.

“Aside from book sales, we have a series of fun activities such as talks, science demonstrations, book sharing, music performances and competitions,” she said when interviewed.

She said visitors would also have a chance to join a meet-and-greet session with local author Hilal Asyraf at 2pm on Sunday.

“We hope the public will bring their family and friends to the bazaar as we target about 300,000 visitors throughout the four-day event.

“Last year we held a similar bazaar and it was well-received, which shows that the interest in reading is still strong,” added Linda.
