Nora Danish happy to remain single for now

ACTRESS Nora Danish said now was not the right time for her to seek a new life partner despite receiving and rejecting numerous offers, Kosmo! reported.

Nora, 42, said there have been many offers from several men who tried to get close to her after she donned the tudung (headscarf).

“Since I started wearing the tudung, there were many (who tried to approach).

“There were some old friends and those from outside (my social circle) who tried to approach me, but this is not the right time,” she said.

Nora and businessman Nedim Nazri were divorced at the Federal Territories Syariah Court at Jalan Duta on June 19.

She said for now, she is focused on getting closer to God.

“At this point, I am not thinking about that as I just got divorced,” she added.

Asked to respond to her ex-husband’s remarks that he still wanted both of them to get back together, she said that she did not take her divorce lightly.

“Although I cannot speak on his behalf, I think he can already accept the situation.

“But I am sure it will take time,” she said, adding that she still has a cordial relationship with her ex-husband.

> A former electrical engineer from Kota Baru, had an unexpected career change to follow his dream of becoming a tailor, reported Utusan Malaysia.

Zaki Ismail, 39, said he had dreamt of becoming a tailor after he patched up his own trousers back in 1999.

“My dream actually started when I was in secondary school.

“At that time, I even bought myself a special portable sewing machine.

“After seven years, I made the decision to leave my job at an oil and gas company to focus on sewing denim and opened my own tailoring shop in 2012,” he said.

Zaki admitted that he was lucky to receive some guidance from a neighbour, who was a renowned denim tailor.

“Fortunately, my career now allows me to take care of my wife and three children.

“I also produce various denim items such as caps, bags and outfits.

“And I only take a payment of between RM10 to RM20 to repair any damaged denim,” said Zaki, adding that he had spent about RM400,000 to purchase all the equipment for his tailoring business.
