Four Malaysians arrive home safely from Lebanon


PETALING JAYA: Four Malaysians have safely arrived at Kuala Lumpur International Airport on Friday (Oct 4) morning, from Lebanon, confirms Wisma Putra.

The Foreign Ministry said that the Malaysian Embassy in Beirut had facilitated their departure from Beirut via commercial aircraft.

"Another Malaysian is scheduled to arrive later in the day," it said in a statement.

The Ministry added that efforts are vigorously being pursued to ensure the safe evacuation of the remaining Malaysians and their family members, which stand at 16.

"The Ministry is fully committed to ensuring the safety and well-being of Malaysian citizens in Lebanon.

"The Embassy of Malaysia in Beirut will continue to monitor the situation and provide the

necessary assistance," it added.
