HONG Kong superstar Tony Leung and his wife Carina Lau are spending their 16th wedding anniversary travelling in a country speculated to be Bhutan – where they got married, reported Sin Chew Daily.

The couple shared photos of their recent travels on social media.

While the two did not state which country they were in, the flag at a monastery in the background indicated that it was Bhutan.

“Sixteen years later,” Leung wrote on social media, implying that they were back to the place where they they tied the knot in 2008.

Leung is a Buddhist and married Lau in a Buddhist ceremony in Bhutan.

Many Internet users congratulated the couple on the milestone and wished them happiness.

“Please continue to be happy!” one netizen wrote.

It was reported that Leung and Lau had been in a relationship for 35 years.

In a previous television interview, Lau had said that the secret to a long-lasting marriage boiled down to one’s ability to tolerate their partner.

> Hong Kong singer Deep Ng, who took on an additional job as a construction worker in 2023 to make ends meet, was recently seen busking in the streets of Sydney, Australia, reported China Press.

However, his actions garnered the ire of Internet users, who questioned Ng’s decision to go on a holiday abroad despite claiming to be facing financial stress.

When contacted, Ng said he was not there on a holiday but instead was on a church mission there and his flight tickets were sponsored.

The 40-year-old Ng said that his financial situation had improved and he may reduce the number of hours spent working in construction.

“Even so, I still want to take the exam to get a permit to work at the Hong Kong metro tracks.

“After putting my son to bed, maybe I’ll go to work at the tracks from 11pm until morning the next day,” he said.

Ng told the press that he was planning to self-publish three songs in 2025, which will cost between HK$300,000 and HK$400,000 (RM161,209 to RM214,946).

However, he said he was only doing so to share his music with fans and harboured no intentions of winning any music awards.

It was reported that Ng emerged as the second-runner up at the TVB International Chinese New Talent Singing Championship in 1999 and later signed with the label Emperor Entertainment Group.

However, his contract with the label ended in November 2023 and he began working in construction and taking on gigs as a vocal instructor to make ends meet.
