Up to RM10,000 cash prize for grabs in Kelantan unity TikTok contest


KOTA BARU: The Kelantan government is holding a National Unity TikTok video contest titled “Kelantan, Model of Unity” with cash prizes of RM10,000 for first place, RM5,000 for second place and RM3,000 for third place.

State youth, sports, non-governmental organisation, and community unity committee chairman Zamakhshari Muhamad said the competition would run until Oct 12, in conjunction with the National Unity Carnival that will take place on Oct 19.The programme will be officiated by Kelantan Mentri Besar Datuk Mohd Nassuruddin Daud.

“To participate in the TikTok video contest, users on the platform must upload a video lasting three to five minutes showcasing elements of unity and harmony in Kelantan.

“It can be about language, culture, food, religious harmony or inter-ethnic neighbourhood elements,” he said.

Zamakhshari said participants must upload their videos to their TikTok accounts with the associated hashtags, such as #PerpaduanKelantan2024, #AmboOreKlate and #KelantanModelPerpaduan.

He said the public, especially youth who are interested in joining the contest, must submit creative short videos highlighting the uniqueness and diversity of unity in Kelantan through the TikTok platform.

“The judging criteria will include the number of shares on TikTok, video quality, creativity and originality, as well as the delivery of the message of unity in Kelantan,” he said.
