TO a businessman in China, his dog is not just his best friend but his son.
Now, with the pooch missing, the heartbroken man, whose surname is Liu, is offering a flat or car in addition to 10,000 yuan (RM6,008) for the safe return of his beloved canine.
China Press reported that Liu, while away from his hometown in Heilongjiang to start a business with his wife in Zhejiang, had left their dog in the care of their parents back home.
However, on Sept 17, the dog named Douding, aged about 10 years, went missing during a walk.Liu plastered posters of Douding all over his cars and even all over town, offering a 10,000 yuan cash reward and the choice of either a two-bedroom flat or a car for the safe return of his dog.
Liu said he is worried for Douding as temperatures in Heilongjiang are soon set to drop with the change in seasons.
Describing the dog as his “son”, Liu said Douding is an important member of his family.
> Malaysian singer Diorlying Tan has cut all ties with her brother after he was allegedly caught scamming her followers, China Press also reported.
The 25-year-old said she has had enough of her brother’s antics after repeatedly bailing him out.
It was the final straw for her when she found out that her brother had scammed her fans, she added.
Tan posted screencaps of her brother’s conversations with her social media fans.
She said she has since disowned her brother and recounted his antics on her Instagram account.
“All of our family members, including our uncle, want to cut ties with you.
“We are not worried about the shame. I am more worried about my family’s safety.
“To those who have been scammed by him, please report the matter to police. Let him face justice!” she wrote.
Many of Tan’s colleagues such as influencer Gladish Chan and actor Choo Ren Hao comforted her on social media.
