Biker killed after crashing into car in Johor


TANGKAK: A 29-year-old man was killed after crashing his motorcycle into a car at KM2.7 on Jalan Sialang here.

Tangkak OCPD Supt Roslan Mohd Talib said the incident occurred at 5.50am on Monday (Oct 7) when a car was trying to make a right turn at a traffic light.

“The driver of the vehicle was on his way towards Kluang from Selandar, Melaka.

“Upon arriving at the location, the driver had made a right turn at the intersection when the traffic light was green.

“However, at the same time, a motorcycle from the opposite direction had suddenly come and crashed into the car,” he said in a statement on Tuesday (Oct 8).

He added that the victim suffered a serious injury on the head, body, and legs and was pronounced dead at the location.

The case is being investigated under Section 41(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987.
