Lekas Highway to close from 5pm Saturday to 4am Sunday for cycling race


KUALA LUMPUR: The Kajang-Seremban (Lekas) highway is scheduled to close this Saturday (Oct 12) from 5pm until 4am on Sunday (Oct 13) to accommodate the RHB Lekas Highway Ride 2024 cycling race.

Kajang OCPD Asst Comm Naazron Abdul Yusof said that the event would commence at 7.45pm on Saturday, affecting routes including KM2 of the Lekas Highway heading to Seremban, the Lekas Highway towards Bandar Teknologi, and the Lekas Highway entrance to Semenyih.

"Additionally, the Lekas Highway to Ecohill, Jalan Bangi Lama to Lekas Highway, and Jalan Eco Majestic leading to Lekas Highway will also be closed," he said in a statement Tuesday (Oct 8).

ACP Naazron advised the public to plan their journeys on the day and avoid the affected roads while adhering to the instructions of officers and policemen on duty.
