KUALA LUMPUR: A total of 29 areas in the federal capital are experiencing unscheduled water supply disruptions from 6am on Tuesday (Oct 8) due to emergency repairs on a burst pipe at Pasar Seni Hub.

Pengurusan Air Selangor Sdn Bhd (Air Selangor), in a statement, reported that the affected areas include Apartment Putra Ria, Brickfields, Bukit Bandaraya, Bukit Bangsar, Bukit Damansara, Bukit Persekutuan, Bukit Tunku, Damansara Heights, Damansara Town Centre, Idamansara, and Jalan Sultan Hishammuddin.

The company stated that the repairs are expected to be completed by 1am on Wednesday (Oct 9), with water distribution resuming in stages once the main water supply distribution system is stabilised.

"The duration of the water supply recovery period will vary depending on the location of the consumer’s premises and the water pressure in the distribution system. However, the water supply is expected to fully recover by 1pm on Wednesday," the statement read.

Air Selangor also said that water tankers will be dispatched to affected areas, prioritising critical premises such as hospitals, clinics, dialysis centres, and funeral homes during the disruption.

It added that users can get information on unscheduled water supply disruptions through Air Selangor's official communication channels such as the Air Selangor app, Facebook, Instagram and X or contact Air Selangor at 15300 or visit https://www.airselangor.com/.
