Happy ending for cat rescued from under KK flyover

KOTA KINABALU: Firemen rescued a cat trapped underneath a flyover along Jalan Lintas here on Wednesday (Oct 9), which was later adopted by a civilian.

According to the Fire and Rescue Department, a call came in at 4.26pm and a team from Lintas fire station was sent to Luyang Flyover location.

“Upon arriving, the animal was spotted at a section underneath the flyover which was about 10m high.

“The team used a ladder to reach the cat and after bringing it down successfully, it was handed over to a civilian who had expressed her wish to take in the cat as a pet.

“The operation ended at 5.06pm,” said the department spokesman.
