Two men arrested in Kota Tinggi for impersonating policemen, robbing foreigners


KOTA TINGGI: Police have arrested two men for impersonating policemen and robbing foreigners in the district.

Its OCPD, Supt Yusof Othman, said on Wednesday (Oct 9) that based on a police report lodged by a foreign worker on Oct 7, police tracked down and arrested these two men in their 20s in Bandar Tenggara the next day.

“We have also seized a motorcycle from the suspects. Our investigations showed that the suspects were also involved in another case on Sept 22.

“They usually target foreigners. Both have since been remanded for four days to assist in investigations,” he said, adding that the two victims, aged 38 and 40, were robbed of cash.
