A SOCIAL media account featuring the image of the individual known as “Hot Daddy” has sparked controversy after it became active on X (formerly Twitter), promoting escort and sexual services, Kosmo! reported.

A check by the Malay daily showed that the account, which was created in January 2022 using the profile picture of Hot Daddy, has more than 116,000 followers.

The account provides links to join a private Telegram group, with those interested having to pay RM150.

Various teasers of lewd and sexual videos can be seen showing the faces of Hot Daddy, sparking a wave of reaction online.

Several users urged the authorities to have the account removed.

On Monday, the Sessions Court issued an arrest warrant for Hasli Ikhwan Arif Zul Hasli, known as Hot Daddy, after he failed to appear in court. The 32-year-old was scheduled to appear before judge Siti Shakirah Mohtarudin for a mention related to his charges of solicitation of prostitution.

Arrest warrants were also issued for Hasli Ikhwan’s companions, Norshazrina Md Zamri, 27, and Norhidayah Mahadi, 24.

Their names were repeatedly called when proceedings began at 9am, leading the judge to postpone the case until 11am.

When the session resumed, the three accused and their bailors were still absent, prompting deputy public prosecutor Mohamad Shahrizzat Amadan to request the arrest warrants.

In a separate case, Sessions Court judge Suzana Hussin issued an arrest warrant against Norshazrina, charged under the Film Censorship Act 2002.

Both courts set Nov 8 for the next mention of the cases.
