Bus driver killed after crashing into signboard in JB


JOHOR BARU: A 58-year-old man was killed after his vehicle crashed into a signboard pole at Jalan Firma 2, Tebrau Industrial Area, here.

Johor Baru South OCPD Asst Comm Raub Selamat said the incident occurred at 10.05pm on Friday (Oct 11) when the victim was driving his bus towards Pasir Gudang Highway.

“The victim was from Kangkar Tebrau and is believed to have lost control of his vehicle before suddenly crashing into a signboard pole between the road divider,” he said in a statement here on Saturday (Oct 12).

ACP Raub added that the case is being investigated under Section 41(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987.
