Malaysian Army Chief inducted into US Army's International Hall of Fame

PETALING JAYA: Army Chief General Tan Sri Muhammad Hafizuddeain Jantan has been inducted as the 300th member of the International Hall of Fame (IHOF) United States Army Command and General Staff College (USACGSC) in Fort Leavenworth, Kansas, USA.

The Armed Forces communications arm said the induction took place in a ceremony on Oct 11.

"The recognition received by the Armed Forces chief was an achievement to be proud of as he is the third in the history who has been honoured after General Tan Sri Md Hashim Hussein (Rtd) (18th Armed Forces chief) and General Tan Sri Mohd Shahrom Nordin (Rtd) (19th Armed Forces chief)," said the Armed Forces in a statement on Saturday (Oct 12).

"General Muhammad Hafizuddeain was an alumnus of USACGSC in 2001 and he was accompanied by his wife Puan Sri Hartiah Hamzah.

"The entire army staff is proud and extends their heartfelt appreciation to the general on his achievement," it added.
