MetMalaysia issues thunderstorm warning for six states Sunday evening


KUALA LUMPUR: The Malaysian Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia) has issued thunderstorm warnings for six states until 6pm on Sunday (Oct 13).

In a statement on Sunday, MetMalaysia forecast that bad weather conditions will affect parts of Sarawak, namely Kuching, Serian, Samarahan, Sri Aman, Sarikei, Sibu, Mukah, Bintulu and Miri.

Other states affected are Kedah (Sik, Baling and Kulim); Perak (Hulu Perak); Kelantan (Machang, Kuala Krai and Gua Musang); Terengganu, (Hulu Terengganu, Dungun and Kemaman) and Pahang (Kuantan).

MetMalaysia rain is expected to exceed 20mm per hour and storms will last for over an hour. – Bernama
